Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in America. She is best known for her role as Skyler White on The AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in Preparatory School, before her family relocated to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. She went to Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago performing in stage role for several years. Then she moved to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in movies and television shows. In 1992, Anna landed her first big character as Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Anna continued appearing in films as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of 1990's. Then she was selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. Skyler played Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). Also, she starred in the Deadwood movie and Sully. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. The year 2022 saw Gunn also participated in an audio-play podcast named "Numbered days". Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's marriage to Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on the marriage he shares with Skyler can be seen in the show.
